Terms and Conditions
About These Terms
Welcome to Granite & Cabinet Center (“we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms and Conditions govern your use of granitecenterva.com/ and general inquiries through the website. They do not replace a signed proposal, sales agreement, or residential improvement contract. If a specific signed agreement conflicts with these website terms, the signed agreement controls for that project, subject to applicable law.
Products, Services, and Information
We sell kitchen cabinets, natural and engineered stone countertops, and selected related products. Depending on the approved order, we may provide pickup, delivery, or delivery together with installation and countertop fabrication services. Website descriptions, samples, photographs, availability, promotional prices, and estimated turnaround times are informational and may change. We will identify applicable products, materials, scope, quantities, and specifications in your quote or signed agreement.
Quotes and Project Approval
A free estimate or website inquiry does not create a contract or reserve materials. Before work begins or payments are accepted for covered residential contracting work, we will use a written agreement signed by the required parties and containing the information required by Virginia law, including scope, project pricing, estimated dates, payment schedule, change-order procedure, and applicable cancellation rights. Work outside the original scope requires an appropriately documented and approved change order.
Materials and Natural Variations
Natural stone can show variations in color, veining, pattern, mineral deposits, and texture. Manufactured materials can vary across lots and samples. These natural or manufacturer-permitted differences do not necessarily indicate defects. Customers should review and approve selected materials, colors, edge profiles, and relevant layouts before fabrication where approval is required by the project documentation. Nothing in these terms removes rights concerning damaged, defective, or incorrectly supplied goods.
Pickup, Delivery, and Installation Options
Every order should specify one of three service options: Pickup Only (customer collects the products), Delivery Only (transport without installation), or Delivery + Installation (transport and the installation work expressly listed in the signed quote or agreement). The option selected in the order determines the services included. Unlisted demolition, plumbing, electrical work, disposal, or site preparation is not included unless expressly agreed.
Site Conditions and Installation
Customers must provide safe access to the job site and disclose known conditions that may affect installation. The signed contract will allocate responsibilities for measurements, cabinet support, plumbing, electrical work, demolition, permits, inspections, and any necessary site preparation. We will comply with applicable local permitting, inspection, and zoning requirements for work for which we are responsible.
Timing and Delays
Project dates are estimates unless the signed contract states otherwise. We will communicate material changes to the anticipated schedule. Delays may arise from unavailable materials, weather, site readiness, permitting, customer-requested changes, or events outside reasonable control. Such delays will be addressed under the signed agreement and applicable law; they do not automatically eliminate customer rights.
Price, Payments, and Taxes
The itemized proposal or invoice describes the total price, payment milestones, applicable taxes, and any additional charges. We will disclose mandatory fees or the factors affecting a variable price before commitment, as required by law. Payment methods and any lawful payment-method-specific charges will be shown before payment authorization. See our Payment Policy.
Delivery, Cancellation, Returns, and Warranty
Delivery and installation details are addressed in our Delivery Policy and the signed project agreement. Cancellation and return rights are described in the Refund Policy and any applicable project-specific documents. Product warranties, workmanship warranties, and remedy procedures are those specified in applicable written documents and mandatory law. Nothing here limits rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
Website Conduct and Intellectual Property
You may use our website for legitimate personal or business inquiries. You may not attempt unauthorized access, disrupt its operation, or reproduce site materials for commercial purposes without permission. Website content, including photographs and designs, is owned by us or our licensors unless otherwise stated.
Third-Party Services
Our website may link to third-party websites, estimate forms, analytics services, and a hosted payment provider. Their separate terms and privacy practices may apply. We are responsible for our own legal obligations notwithstanding use of a service provider.
Liability and Governing Law
To the extent permitted by applicable law, website information is provided for general information without guaranteeing that every description is error-free or continuously available. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or remedies that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer-protection, contract, or other law. Virginia law governs these website terms to the extent legally permitted; mandatory rights and appropriate jurisdictional rules remain unaffected.
